Would this fit in your build plans? I think it's from around 1914, so it may be too old for the truck :dunno:

That is extremely cool, but no, I don't think it would work on this truck. And I'd be afraid of damaging it.

Use it on the model A?

I like Reid's knucks and C's(have used their stuff before), but in this case it came down to budget. I haven't heard or read anything bad about Solid's products, I like the keyed arm design, and it was considerably less expensive.

Also, everybody has orange parts and I want to be different. :f2:

Details on the two stashes of parts? :lurker

What are your plans for the 14B? I'd assume that you're chopping a chunk off the bottom of the pumpkin? I've seen a few different write-ups with different amounts taken off. Curious what you're planning to do.

I'm borrowing some tech I saw in Crawl magazine, and using a Crane 13 bolt cover. It doesn't take a lot off the bottom, but it does smooth it out, and I'm running big tires. It's in one of the boxes.

I was test fitting the new PS pump a couple nights ago and realized that I have a clearance issue with my engine mounts. The driver side will have to be cut apart and lowered to clear the high pressure hose fitting. :gaah

This is going to suck. It's probably 8 hours of labor to cut this apart and rebuild it.

can you just notch it and then reinforce it.... Or add a bend to the line...

Nope. Has to be cut and redone.

I did look into eliminating the brake vacuum pump that drives the PS pump, and using a 4bt Box truck gear drive, but they're rare and expensive. And I would also have to run manual brakes. The other option is calling PSE to see if they will exchange my gear driven pump for a belt driven pump. I would then have to fabricate brackets for the passenger side of the engine, and have a messier install with the pump on one side, and the orbital on the other. I think I'll just bite the bullet and make it work.
