We know the wheeling is going to suck, so we're working on alternate activities. I want to put on a 3-ball tournament. See here for some pics:

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=30384

The rules, stolen from Jim (Oldgreen)

Quote:
3 ball. . .which we play as 4 ball. . .but:

Set up: Place 3 tees in precarious positions (side hills, off camber, etc) and a home plate. The bigger the course, the faster the speeds. . .

Play: 2 people per vehicle. Passenger has all 4 balls. From home plate, the passenger places one ball on each Tee without leaving his seat. If he/she drops a ball, then it must be retrieved and placed on the Tee. After all of the balls have been placed, then the course is repeated, but the DRIVER must retrieve the balls. Everybody gets two runs.

Rules: You are on the clock. . .even if you have to get out. You are DQ'd if you move the rig without a seatbelt fastened. Tees can be run in any order. Anyone that gets genuinely mad gets DQ'd. No other rules.

Winning: Fastest time splits the pot with the time closest to the overall average. Style points/booby prize. . .etc. . .are all optional.

This is still a work in progress, so we'll dig up a prize for the winner, plus something for best teamwork or something along those lines. Tentatively thinking 10am on Saturday. We'll do this just up the road from camp in the area known as "Drunky Rocks". We can leave as a group say 9:45 Saturday AM for anybody who wants to be involved. We will most likely just do one run each team, depending on how many people we get involved. Maybe another separate run for wives or kids driving? I'll work on some ideas.

John

Sounds fun, I'll go even if it's just to watch these shenanigans.

I'm sure there will be pics, but with the weather being decent and people wanting to stay around camp, this turned into a blind-folded driver 4 ball tournament. Everybody had a GREAT time!

I'm pretty sure it was John and I. Jake was in the rig for the two fastest times, but he should be disqualified for being on two teams. When it comes to balls, Jake has skills.

I'm pretty sure it was me. I, at least, had the longest blindfolded drive away from camp with the closest to the river. :roflmao:

I think you are refering to jake and I. We did log the quickest time though, and the longest skid marks too.
