As many of you know, the PNW Jeep puts on a great event with a dinner and a raffle. It's a great time to meet some of the people you've seen post on this board. I usually guide a run or 2 to help show people the area. This year I'll be doing 2 trips.

This first trip leaves from the campsite pay area Friday morning at 8:30 AM. This trip will be for more experienced wheelers and will cover the Kaner trail, Rocky Saddle and loop up the back to Lilly Pond. It will be a fairly long day but it's a good trip and will show you much of the trail system. This isn't a trip for the ill equipped newb but a well equipped rig with even a fairly inexperienced driver will have a good time. I've done this trip without a scratch many times but your experience may vary. :brows: 1 locker, a winch and a spare is required. If you're not willing to get dirty and possibly a scuff or 2, please don't try to do this trip.

The second trip is my usual Newbie Run. This run will leave the campsite pay area Saturday morning at 8:30. Anyone with a low range t-case should fine. We'll be doing the historic Naches Trail first and have lunch up at the cabin. We'll come back via the logging road and then head up to the top of the Kaner trail and come DOWN the Kaner. Depending on the rigs on the trip, we may separate into 2 groups to make sure we don't have any issues. Don't be ashamed to go on Newbie run. Even the experienced wheeler has a good time on this trip.

We'll have a raffle on the trail both days and I've got some good swag. I'm sure we'll have a few people chime in about these runs so you'll get even more info. Don't listen to Greg's opinion. He's had a bit too much good luck.

    Interested??? :dunno:

Woot  Thanks for giving of your time again, every year I hear people comment how much fun they had on the newb run.

I'm down to run both. Especially the Naches Trail, never ran it before.

I'm in for this. I'm ready to find out what this old CJ can do. A scuff or two is fine. They will blend in with the others

The rig is perfectly well equipped but you'll have to work a bit in some spots on Rocky Saddle to get through unscathed. It can be done (we took a company 2 dr JK on 37s through last week) but you'll need to make some 3 point turns and find the right line through some of the trees.

Myself and one of my buddies want to join you for Fridays run. Anxious to run Rocky Saddle, I've never even heard of it before. :dunno: It sounds like it's a fairly tight trail based on your previous comments. Will a 4dr JK on 39's fit?

You might get a couple of top scrapes. If you have a 60 front end you'll have a lot more trouble in the trees.

The Newbie run is still on but we need a head count on people still interested in a Friday run. Much of the area I planned to run on Friday will be closed but I have an option :brows: in mind if enough people are interested.

    Speak up, are you in?
