A handful of local club guys and friends traveled to the panhandle of Idaho this weekend to compete in the 2nd annual Winter Challenge hosted by Insanity Fab. John Mathews of Auburn Car Repair and Offroad piloted the 4580 Off Track Motorsports car to a 1st place finish in the 40" and under tire class, winning both his heat and the final race. Jesse Connor rode codog and Ian and myself were on crew duty. We've raced a lot together over the years, and this was a fun win. The snow was deep and soft, with very little traction.

Some cool looking rigs there for sure, I'm bummed we missed it.

And congrats John and Off Track team!

:hi: Dumb question here.

Is it hard to reach through the grill to flip the winch to free spool?

It's doable, but could be easier. The grille slot that you'd intuitively use has a rough edge, the lever was extended by the PO and interferes w/the plug, we're going to rework some things pre KOH...

Yeah, it had been below freezing for a couple days straight so I figured we'd at least get fluid moving around in there a little bit.
