It's been a long time since someone has done a trip report. So here is a quicky. Ran FS75 road on Saturday. Didn't quite make it to the top of the first hill on Huckleberry ridge, where the play area is, not sure if that area has a name. We ran into a group of 5-6 downed trees and I didn't feel like putting in work. The snow conditions were awesome. Pretty decent base that packed well with about a foot of fresh powder on top.

I thought all those FS roads were shut down for the snowmobiles. Are there other FS roads that are still open to jeeps?

FS 74 and 75 are open year round to vehicle traffic. 75 makes a big loop back to 74 and if conditions are right u can make it in the winter. But its not generally heavily travelled once u get to the top of the ridge so be prepared to cut your way through. I have only made the loop successfully once in 5 yrs during the winter!

It's where we get our Christmas tree every year also. In December we can get all the way up and around Lonesome Lake. Lonesome Lake is about 5300 feet and the road up around the backside of the lake is just a touch over 6000 feet. This time of year it's nearly impossible to reach the lake.
