Had the opportunity to run some of the new trails at Reiter on Saturday. Jumped in the codog seat of John's (Avanteone) new rig for a guided tour by Scott (BoxBoy?) who is one of the main guys designing and building these new trails, and Sam (unknown user name) who's been helping too. Another forum user Jeff (Jeepmauler) has apparently been big in the process too, but he was probably off riding his tricycle or something. :f2: These trails are VERY well done. Planned out well and executed well. Solid gate keepers that are very representative of the trail on the other side, fair bypasses, and obvious proactive work to prevent unwanted bypasses. These guys are doing some great work up there.

Pics!

Thanks for the post. How many jeep trails are there now? Are they all 35+ and 4 inch+ lift kind of trails?

I don't know how many trails there are for sure, but we ran 3-4 of them IIRC, and there was at least 1 more we didn't have time to run. :dunno: This area is built by wheelers for wheelers. There are definitely bypasses, but not for everything. I don't know the over/under for tire size/lift, but I'd say at LEAST 35" tires for some of the bigger obstacles. M was on 37s and got turtled on a few rocks.

I remember the old Isabel lake trail that headed up the mountain. Any chance that will come back or is it all going to be man made rock gardens?
