Turned up the beginning of the Lower Naches at 9pm on Friday night, very heavy rain, the trail was more or less a muddy creek the whole way up.

Somehow made it up with no body damage. As the lower naches came to an end, the creek turned to a lake for the rest of the journey.

Spent the night in the cabin, had it all to myself... this is a very nice cabin, highly recommended!

Rained extremely hard all night with quite a bit of wind.

Did some more of the Naches in the morning, turned onto a cutoff road, got very lost and drove in loops for an hour on service roads. Did more Naches to try to escape and ended up on the main Pyramid Pass road but it just faded out into abandoned service roads (so confused, I've driven over that many times... maybe the main road disappeared in a giant washout or something?). Did more service loops for an hour and ended up where I started in the very beginning. Then drove the Naches back out because I couldn't figure out any other way to get home.

That's the little cabin from MAMA
I wouldn't want to sleep alone in that thing when a rain storm was going on

Gov't Meadows cabin is awesome. Stayed many nights in there.

Drae, I've always thought about coming BACK to that cabin. Sat. night of our Nov. run.

Two people lost is only very slightly better than one person lost. As long as you know how to turn around and get home and survive the conditions in the worst case, lost is merely a day of fun adventuring in the mountains. I get lost alone in the forward-direction practically every weekend, but I've never been bidirectionally lost.

Noted..... The beautiful thing about the Naches is that someone will eventually come along. I think what bugs me the most is leaving my jeep in the parking area at the cabin.
