The PNWJeep and POR crews descended on Sand Lake over the weekend. Weather was perfect, lots of playing and family fun!

Kim and I managed to escape for the weekend without kids, and had a great time down there. The Power Wagon did pretty well in the sand.

We had a great weekend. Thanks to everyone who made it out. I wish I would have more time to visit with everyone but the weekend seemed to go so fast. I am already looking forward to next year!

I didn't take too many pics.

Met up with Buddy and Neely on Thursday after work to grab my trailer.

Then I spent the next 5 hours staring at his backside.

We got in around 10pm, set up camp, and re-hydrated as others were showing up.
Friday morning.
Image

Friday before lunch we headed up for the first run of the day.
Image

Then I crashed and got run over by my quad after taking a berm a little too hot. Eventually Ben showed up and pulled it off of me. :owned:

Sharing some of my lunch.

I had a great time. Thanks to Buddy for the helmet, goggles, and quad ride. Thanks also to John for the quad riding. Thanks everyone else for the conversation and laughs. I didn't take a single picture, phone wasn't even on after I arrived Thursday night.

This was also my first time towing the jeep with the camper on. Truck did great, handles it like a champ. Driving through the pass before tillamook in the dark sucked.

That was my buddy Jeff that I worked with doing the floors. He went out to Colorado to buy it. I know it has a 2.3 liter motor of some sort swapped in but I don't remember from what.

Since he's had it has has been systematically going through it an replacing everything. He just redid all the from steering system and is currently waiting for his custom lift springs. Springs are made custom for his van based in corner weights to account for the weight of his bumpers he made. The front shaft is currently pulled to eliminate the stock viscous coupler but his springs were delayed an he is waiting to do at the same time.

He loves that thing and I'm sure it's be a constant work in progress. They have taken it all over the place already.

I was there but ended up sick so I never made it out of the trailer. Didn't want to spread what I got around.
