Just got back home after a perfect day to have a Jeep on the coast. I got a late start and drove SR105 up the Willapa Bay to Tokeland, Grayland and Westport with my 9 yr old daughter and the Dog.

This was the warmest I can ever remember along the ocean this time of year, in the 80's. I was prepared for the cool marine layer that usually hangs around or sets in in the afternoon but it didn't happen. It didn't cool at all.

Living down here I don't get to excited about driving on the beach but I saw a lot of people in every thing from wagoneers, commandos, CJ's to nicely built JK's participating in picking up after others.

I met up with a friend and headed to check out this years raffle. I did't know anyone but I met a lot of really nice people making it a great time. Many 4X4 shops/businesses as always donated generously.

Wishing I could have camped and hung out longer I had to hit the road. On the way home we stopped and had wood fired pizza and ate outdoors. It was still 70 degrees. Then 31 miles on SR105 along the water only passing a half dozen oncoming cars all the way. Never got below 65 degrees on the way home and my daughter and dog crashed out in the back of the open topped CJ.

We were down drifting the Humptulips yesterday and hung out at ocean shores for the later part of the afternoon. Some of the best weather EVER!!!!

Saw a few small groups of people cruising the beach. Some pretty nice rigs.
