last 20 seconds. We sent a lot of people for cover. I suppose because we used more of the road than the others, lol.

Pikes' Peak is awesome. . .

I used to drive that road all of the time when I lived in Colorado Springs. I've always dreamed of entering the race. From driving the road and watching the race, a couple of things always stood out to me:

1. You have to have giant, hardened ballz to drive that road as fast as any vehicle is capable of.
2. If you weren't reading rally notes, the passenger's seat would take even larger testes above the treeline. Keri, you have giant girl-nads!

Some of the most amazing weather patterns happen up there. . .snow in July, freak thunderstorms where the lightning dances in the Devil's Playground (I knew a photographer that was killed by lightning there). . . I even have a photo somewhere of looking DOWN on a full circle Rainbow during a 2 minute t-storm.

*Runs off to find sponsors for next year before they pave the whole thing!!!*

It's funny that you mention the lightning storms hitting the mountain in the devil's playground area. I was at the auto racing hall of fame in Mooresville, NC a few hours ago and I overheard one of the volunteers talking about Pikes Peak. I told him I was there Sunday and asked him if he was there and he said he was at the DP and several bolts pounded the earth just off the track. He said he was disappointed they put everyone in their vehicles and he missed the side car motorcycles. But he did say he saw us! I didn't realize it got that close to the mountain Sunday.

Yeah, it is one of the places on earth where you are more likely to get struck by lightning. For some reason, the lighting bounces off of the rocks and kind of makes a grid of sorts. . .so it strikes many places at one time.

Sidecar peoples are nutz. . .the "monkey" has a REALLY dangerous job.

I'd do it. But I guess that's cause I have giant girl-nads

Oh and some of Mike's stunt driver friends are in my area. They want to parasail with their monster trucks and general lee's.
