I am considering going wheeling in the snow at Tinkham Road / Denny Creek on Friday if I can find anyone else interested in going?

I was thinking of going up the Denny Creek side from the second Tinkham Road Exit (Ashel Curtis I think it is?)
If that is too easy with no issues I would go down the Tinkham Road on the South side and up the FS road up to the top if doable.

I might bring a sled to play with.

Be warned, the gate near the old shooting out is currently locked on Tinkham's side. Getting to the 'top' may not be an option.

Thanks for the heads up!
I won't be passing any locked gates.
Any chance you know what the snow conditions are like up there for wheeling?

Thanks,
Michael

Well since I don't have anyone else going, I am going to hold off and do other projects I should be doing anyway ;)
Would love to go up if someone is interested in the next week or so?

In the ruts there was good reaction all the way up to the old pit. Out of the ruts it was very soft and not compacting enough to float in top of it.

Should be state-wide major ice crust. If it's supportive in the ruts it'll be easy to go anywhere, if it's not you won't even be able to winch out. This won't change for a while with very little snow in the forecast until late next week.

I'm headed up to Tonga (I think that's what it's called) tomorrow around 2pm. Leaving Monroe Chevron around that time with a couple yotas to go play in the snow.
