Anyone want to go to Surprise? We made it almost all the way last weekend. Stopped in 4' powder, slight uphill. Guys with me last weekend have other plans for this weekend. Friday, Saturday or Sunday works.

I contemplated getting new rig out Sunday AM. Not 100% sure yet but 50/50.

I was just about to post something. Planning to go sledding up Tinkham on Saturday. Not sure on timing. If anyone is wanting to get their kiddos out on sleds let me know and we can arrange to meet up before heading up the forest service roads.

I'd also potentially be interested in Sunday. Uncertain right now, might do some work on the Jeep instead if parts come in time.

Sunday sledding. Meet at exit 47 on i-90? Or would some place be better for you (Corey/Mike)?

Tomorrow morning I'm going to Copper creek, 2nd clearing is 4800 feet. Hoping to be back home early afternoon for some family Christmas stuff. Then Sunday morning head up to Surprise lake which is 4400' but less traveled.

I'm in on Sunday, assuming this road to Surprise lake is the type of snow wheeling where rolling or uncontrollably sliding down a trail is unlikely (I've never been up there before, don't know what it's like)

Replied. Exit 47 is going to work best for the littler girls in the back seat. See you around 10.

Had a radiator tank freeze while the truck was on the trailer. It was below freezing and snowing all day. Only made it to 4700 feet, snow was about 3 foot of sugar on 3 foot base. Very slow going breaking trail. Put in new premix antifreeze and filled up the gas tanks on the way home.

We will be at the Burnett Chevron around 9:30 if anyone is still interested. Expect freezing Temps and crappy snow all day.

:hi:

Went up Sunday, couldn't make it to the upper lake, 3-4 foot of soft sugar snow, it was too slow going. Had to winch myself out. Pulled out a few stuck stock crewcabs on the main gravel road. Lots of people snow shoeing. Seen a river otter playing which was rare. Nice day overall. Going to skip Christmas weekend and will try again the 7th and 8th. Guy that bought Robin's old buggy on 5 ton MOG axles should have it ready to go on new 49" Iroks and Stazwork wheels.
