Post subject:  Interest in a Noob Run at Walker Valley? Oct 16th

Would anyone be interested in a noob run at Walker Valley next Sunday October 16th? If this is late notice, please propose another date. This will be a nice easy pace to get everyone through without damage. I take a break for lunch because I'm fat and the kids need to get out and run around. We probably won't do Ron's Run because I couldn't make it without winching last time, or Ridge Ram for those of you without lockers. Rocker protection is a must if you're concerned about body damage. Everything else can be dealt with if you have patience and can listen. I usually can't do Saturdays due to my kids soccer game.

The Walker map has been updated and some of the trail names have changed. WTF??? http://file.dnr.wa.gov/publications/amp ... 150403.pdf

I'm interested. What time? My Jeep is a rolling project, so I'd kinda be happy if it just made it to Walker and back, but I'd love to give it a try.

JeepStangGuy, Ralph C, and Carlitos, are you guys free on the 30th? I'm thinking we should delay due to the impending windstorm and all the wood which may be down.

Yeah, the predicted weather for this Sunday would probably kill my going. Let's hope for better weather on the 30th.

I could use a quick shake down run before the member run to make sure my junk still works. What time you thinking Rich?

I might also be able to make the 30th work. Still pending at the moment.
I would also run Ron's run for anyone else who needs a hand through it either up or down ;)

Looks like I am in with my son.
I also have a friend who will be joining us as a Noob. YJ, 33's, Open, Winch and learning. He has been to Walker several times and feel pretty comfortable on everything but Ron's Run.

10AM?

I am in with my son.
I have one other friend in a YJ who is planning on coming also and a second friend who is a maybe who would be in a TJ Rubicon.
Both friends are pretty new to wheeling but both have done a few trips and have shown reasonable capabilities in the past.

I'm still planning to go. I'll need to finish rewriting my ARB compressor, but I should be able to finish that on Saturday.

Don't bother waiting for me. I didn't finish my wiring project :-(. I did go see my son's team's last football game of the season, and our only win. Yay! We didn't get home from the end of season pizza party until 11:00. I could have used those 6 hours, but I'm so glad I went to football instead.

Please post lots of pics, and I'd love to read some write ups from fellow noobs.

Thanks for the heads up. Congratulations on your son's game, those are the important things in life, good choice!
I will try to get some photos since I hope to be co-driving more today and I will try to get my son to create a video also.

Have a good day and see you next time.
Michael
