August 6th-7th. Anybody else heading over to watch or compete? Eric and I are going, and I'll be meeting a couple friends there.

Was gonna post this as well! Going to spectate and camp for the weekend. Buddy was talking about it as well. We'll have to circle the wagons in the camp area. It's a good time!

My son and I were considering heading over to spectate for the weekend but I was thinking this might be a little boring for a 13 year old all weekend? Was considering heading down to TSF to do some actual wheeling instead?

Any feedback from others that have been, is it fun for the kids or is it just a drunken mess?
Just curious what others think that have been.

It'd be a pretty good time for the kids too. If nothing else, they get bored or whatever, bring his bike and stuff and they can ride around the field or whatever.

I'm a maybe. Have that weekend set aside, but the group of guys I had set aside to hang out with isn't being responsive on a plan…

I was planning to head down...trying to get my bro to go. Was considering bringing Braden, but not too sure about that plan. John...are you bringing the boys?

Actually my first priority was with aNOTHer group of guys, to go backpacking, but they're not responding. Second was trying to figure out that plan, now this is a third option for that weekend... :smt069

Hey John, what time are you leaving and are you leaving Friday or Saturday? I will see if I can talk the wife into coming.

After this weekend it looks like my son and I will be coming out probably both nights also.
Camping in the truck/camper.
What are the logistics of camping there? Cost? group? Registration?

Michael

I will have whole family with me. It's a big open field, nothing really organized. You pay the land owner $5 or $10 when you show up, that's about it. We should definitely all camp together ;)

Is anyone able to take some aluminum plates back to Portland-ish from Goldendale? They are 51" x 33" x 2". Not solid aluminum so not too heavy.

I guess Watershed is the same weekend. Expect traffic to suck around The Gorge.

Not sure you how to get to Yakima or Goldendale, but it's NOT through the Gorge. :roflmao:
