SAVE THE DATE! SAVE OUR SPORT!

We're hosting our 1st Annual WOHVA Meet & Greet on August 13-14th at the Ahtanum Sno Park. We're still ironing out the last couple of details with the DNR, but everything looks to be going through just fine.

We're planning on having a few local clubs host runs on Saturday for the people that have never been to the area. Quads, SXS, Dirt Bikes, 4x4's are all welcome!

On Saturday night we'll be grilling up some burgers and dogs from Ray's Meats, courtesy of South Sound & South Bound Honda!

With a little luck we'll be able to round up enough donations to have a pretty decent raffle as well.

Please go to the event we created on fb and let us know if you can make it...

It should be a good time. Ahtanum's a great place to ride. You've got the Grey Rock Trail, Darland Mt., Blue Lake, Blue Slide and Jumpoff Lookout. The scenery is pretty hard to beat. Plus you've got the Divide Ridge Trail and quick access into Rimrock for us Jeepers. Hopefully some of you can make it over. It'd be nice to see some west side faces over checking out what we have to offer!

Awesome. Should I run the bald 40" Reds or leave the 39.5/18r15 Boggers on it for Rimrock? :dunno:

It helps to be 80'ish inches or less in width...I've seen wider make it, but it sucks and is slow going. :dunno:

You know it

The Orange Unit won't likely be ready...however, the TJ has all new link bars. Now I just need the steering parts to deliver so I can get those installed and it will be ready to haul the family for a weekend.

Realistically, I'll be in camp all day FRI/SAT helping Shane setup and run the event :dunno:

You got my text like a week ago right? Your tie rod end is at the shop.

So here's the plan so far....

Discover Passes are required, but any tabbed/licensed vehicle/ATV can leave right from the Sno Park where we are camping. Everyone is free to go where they choose at their leisure but some of the local clubs will be hosting guided runs, leaving from the Sno Park at 10AM on Saturday.

The Yakima Valley Dust Dodgers will be leading a motorcycle run across the Grey Rock Trail all the way to Jumpoff Lookout and back. Depending on the skill level of the riders that show up, they may host a beginners run as well.

The Cascade Quad Squad will be taking a group past most of the sites and view points in the Ahtanum. They will end up at Blue Lake and, depending on skill level, split into two groups. One will head up to Blue Slide Lookout and the other will work their way back down an easier route to camp.

Eastern Washington Adventures will be hosting a 4x4 run around the Divide Ridge Trail. You will need to be street legal for this one as you'll run a few miles of pavement to get to the trail head. This is one of the funnest trails up there with some world class views. You'll get to look down on Rimrock Lake, as well as go past Blue Slide Lookout and past Blue Lake. For a built rig it's an easy trail but for milder rigs I would suggest at least having good 32's. You don't have to beat your vehicle but you will get some brush scratches and run a chance of a small dent or two.

The Gleed Boyz are going to be hosting a much more difficult 4x4 run and will require narrow vehicles with 35's +, lockers front and rear, a good cage and belts....as well as a disregard for your sheetmetal. They will also be hosting a SXS run as well. The level of difficulty will depend on who shows up for it that morning. Either way it will be sure to be a good one!

At about 5:00 that afternoon we'll be firing up the BBQ and cooking up burgers and dogs from local business Ray's Meats then kicking off the raffle prizes at about 7.

Post up or shoot me a message if you have any questions!

In Google Maps all I come up with is "Ahtanum Meadow Campground". Is this the correct location?

For those not familiar with the location, you can click on this google maps link, click on the DIRECTIONS button and plug in your address to get directions to the event:

We hope you will come out and join us August 13-14th for our 1st ever WOHVA Meet & Greet at the Main Sno Park in the Ahtanum State Forest! There is plenty of room for camping and easy access for even the largest RV's.

Saturday will be spent riding, relaxing, and taking in the beautiful scenery the Ahtanum has to offer. All licensed/tagged ORVs can leave right from camp while you head out to beautiful sites like Blue Lake, Eagles Nest Vista, Darland Mt, Blue Slide Lookout, Rimrock Lake & Jumpoff Lookout Tower. We have local clubs lined up to take 4x4, SxS, ATV & motorcycle users out on guided runs…or you can venture off to explore on your own. Don’t forget your Discover Pass!

On Saturday night, South Sound Honda Suzuki Polaris & South Bound Honda is sponsoring dinner and will be on hand to grill up some burgers & dogs. We will also have WOHVA gear available for purchase…t-shirts, hoodies & hats.

There is strength in numbers and the more we can all get to know each other and get on the same page, the more we can be successful in protecting our sport! Feel free to come on out, have some fun and meet some fellow OHV enthusiasts! If you would like to be involved in sponsoring a raffle item, just shoot us a message at pr@wohva.org. We'd really appreciate it! All profits will help support the battle we face to keep our public lands open to the public. We hope to see you all there. Support the Sport!

Please contact us if you are able to donate to the raffle or have questions.

The WOHVA Board
