Looking to find a Jeep or 2 to hook up with over 4th of July weekend at Little Naches area. Plans are to camp somewhere down near Little Naches campground. One of the days will be spent to run up to Lost Lake via Milk Creek Road NF-1708 (or some other way) and do some trout fishing in Lost Lake. Supposed to be really decent in July. I was at the lake last year, but didn't bring my fishing gear, so this year it's top priority.

After that I plan to wheel some trails like all of Kaner Flat, Shoestring, Tipover, maybe head over to moonrocks and funnyrocks and mess around, do the usual. Losing my long time wheeling buddy (my Dad) for this summer at least. He's moving to the East side of the state and won't be able to do much wheelin' this year. Would prefer not to go alone. Would like to make a couple new wheelin' friends here if possible. I'm a family man and my family goes with, so it's gonna be a family orientated atmosphere. No drunken shenanigans sorry. Would really prefer to wheel with other folks who have kids also.

So if you don't have plans for that weekend yet and are interested in that area let me know.

Was planning to head up on Friday the 1st as early as I can get out of bed. I work nights, so leaving at 9am is about the best I can ever seem to manage. Should still be able to find some good camp spots. Will stay till Monday morning and come home mid day.

I thought about Liberty too. We are planning a trip there in August. Went there in July last year and some of the trails we wanted to do we couldn't, was slicker than snot, because of rain. August we will be able to do it all, though it's very hot.

Over the years I've seen you are a very active wheeler, would appreciate your company. If you like trout fishing, Lost Lake looks like it will be very cool and it is stocked every year is what I read on the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife webpage.

I'll be doing a day trip on Saturday. You're welcome to tag along with us. We are meeting some people from the Ellensburg side up at Funny rocks around noon as well.

Fri the 1st we depart about 9am, set up camp and wheel a little in the afternoon. Sat the 2nd I'd like to reserve for trout fishing at Lost Lake with wheeling to/from. I'm up for whatever wheeling all day on Sunday the 3rd. We pack up and go home on the 4th mid day. That's pretty much what our schedule is looking like.

As of right now they are allowing campfires. Cell phone coverage is spotty. Pretty much none on Sprint network down in the valley by FS19. As you run trails up out the valley is when you'll get into pockets of coverage. That's what I've seen anyhow.

Might be in for a day or two of wheeling, have to convince my lady. She wanted to stay at the house all weekend but I need to get on the funny rocks again.

Is the group leaning toward Saturday? I can head out there early morning and return that night or possibly camp if we can find a spot for a group of us.

Longmire Meadows Campground sounds good, if there's still room. If not then there's plenty of other options not far from the river. Whatever we do I don't want to camp too far away from NF-1901 because I get a nasty tire shake above 35 mph on pavement, so a lot of high speed is out for me.

Do we have a rig count yet? I might not make it out, got a bad shake in the drivetrain somewhere, need to find that first.

Looks like just 2 so far. I do have a friend and his wife joining us on Sunday, but not for wheelin'. There's a shimmy in my front axle too. I blame the TSL's, but I'll pull my right front hub apart tomorrow just to make sure all is well.

I have a feeling there will be an unusually high number of people there.

Why's that?

I narrowed my problem to death wobble and fear there may be too much play in the knuckle afterwards. I think I'm out due to this unless I find a Dodge unit bearing knuckle before Saturday.

Holiday weekend. I know of at least three separate large groups that are going to be up there.
