Last April 26 John took us over Pyramid Pass and up Ravens Roost.

Are those routes open all year long or do we have to wait for some magic date?

Thinking I'd like to do that this Fri or Sat or Sun or Mon.

thanks

Have to wait for them to stop grooming for snowmobiles. IIRC it's a floating date depending on conditions.
Edit: we are also dealing with substantially more snow this year than last. I think you're a month or two early. LOL
Edit 2: Regardless, I'm in.

The higher elevations are holding snow and still getting more. Dow low is melting off fast though. Grooming probably ends april 1st but road may not open to wheeled vehicles at that time, depends on the fs. Might be doable by middle of may. Plenty of other places to go though

Anybody been up to check out FS70 / Pyramid lately?
Curious when that route will be open (even if the trails are still closed)

TRAILS are closed. Pyramid is open/clear. We're gonna check this route out Sunday if anybody is interested. Depart Enumclaw Safeway 9am.

Pyramid being open/clear means it's legal and passable to vehicles, or mostly free of snow? Pretty amazing if that elevation is mostly melted out...

Friend drove over it in a full size truck last weekend. Pyramid is open AND completely clear. Ravens may be a completely different story.

Intel I received on Pyramid Pass being clear was most definitely false. Be prepared for snow!

Guessing Pyramid is clear this late in the year? How about Raven's Roost?

***EDIT*** - Shouldn't guess. From the USFS site -
"7080 - Pyramid Pass/Naches Pass

NOT CLEARED
Expect road to be snow covered at higher elevations.

I flew over it a week and a half ago and all the roads and site were covered. Couldn't tell you how deep obviously, but there looked to be a decent amount
