about a 1/3 chance I will. My brothers in town, and if the weather is 1/2way decent and he has an interest, this would be good for his first time jeep'n.

I'm up for Tahuya on Saturday also. Been far too long since I've gotten the Jeep dirty. Damn city life.

Thanks,

I am still only about 1/3 chance, but when you say "So let's meet at dirt parking lot near spillman 9:30"
Is that the area, as you are driving north, that there is an entrance to the ORV trails on the left, and on the right is a large parking area, that has outhouse(s)?

thanks

Hey Guys,

I have to bail this trip. Jeep is done, but I cannot afford the total bill right now. (Came out to almost 10k). So I'll have to wait until next month

Anyways, there will be other trips.

Thanks!

Michael

Wasn't this supposed to be under warranty, or was that something else?

Well until they get a check, I have to wait. So I was just going to prepay it, and then allow the warranty company to cut me a check... I just did not expect to be as high as it was.

Taxes took a beating on me... Hope you guys are having fun!

I've never heard of a warranty co. working that way. And was this the motor job? $10k? Sounds bad to me.

I had a few other things put in...

new Aluminum Radiator/hoses, dual friction Clutch, heavier Fly Wheel, Throw-Out Bearing, and new Intake. The motor was 3400 dollars. Brand new Mopar 3.8L, then there was 34 hours of labor.

I'm not complaining, just wasn't expecting it.

I've done that sort of things on several occasions. As long as I have proof I paid. Should be able to get it back, mid month next month. (April 15th or so)

Thanks,

Just Carlos and me. Had a nice time, no damage and no pictures from me. We both had to winch off the top of the buggy hill near at the end of the old tank traps. At the top, he took the left line around the stump and I took the line to the right of the stump. Both of us got hung up on rocks at the top and had to pull line.

We were spectators at mud lake of some deep water crossing of a couple of jeeps. Both to up to their eyeballs in water and appeared to take a lot water into the interior. I just think how much they can screw up, just to play in the water.

I got caught in the rocks at the end of the south loop and broke out the Super Yanker for the first time. Worked great. Was fun wheeling with you!

Mike

Well, maybe there was a little carnage after all. Got out to the garage yesterday, and noticed there was a pool of red under the transfer case. I guess the fancy under armour isn't a cure all for what happens below. Will post up some pictures when I get to fixing. May be in the market for a used 231.

Tahuya claims another one! That's one reason I don't go there.

I picked up a 231 with slip yoke for 200.00 when I had to replace mine

would love to see pic showing the armor and what it covers and doesn't that would allow this.

Sorry about your expense.
