Who: PACCAR Technical Center employees and their friends and family and the general public
What: Open House - We open to the public one day a year during the annual Tulip Festival! Come see what we do to test Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks to improve our products. There will also be a raffle, cars of all kinds old and new on display, food, videos, kids activities and merchandise!
Where: PACCAR Technical Center, 12479 Farm to Market Rd, Mount Vernon, Wa, 98273
When: Saturday, April 9, 2016. Open for employees and family at 10am, open for public at 11am, closes at 3pm.

Ways to participate:

Volunteer: There are many duties to be performed that day and volunteers will receive a long sleeve cotton shirt embroidered with the PACCAR logo and the Tulip Festival logo, as well as a $7 food credit for the food vendor onsite.

Bring your car club: Jeeps, classics, sports cars, etc. Join the other vehicles on display on the test track for the public to view and get recognition for your club.

Raffle: Purchase tickets on site to win stuff! Or donate prizes to be won. This is an opportunity to attach your business card to your donation and get exposure to your service or product (guided trips, gift certificates, physical products, etc.) All proceeds benefit the United Way.

Be a spectator: Just come enjoy the show. Climb in a semi truck; see our new climatic chassis dyno where we drive a truck stationary, inside a wind tunnel to simulate highway driving in place; watch rapid prototype or 3D printed parts being made, see student projects like the SAE formula car and SAE mini Baja from WWU and UW, see old fire trucks and a myriad of other vehicles on display with different clubs from the area, buy Peterbilt and Kenworth branded merchandise for really good prices; see engine and aftertreatment cut-aways, view job openings and pick up an application, eat, drink and be merry!

PM me with questions or to indicate your interest in helping.

Thanks in advance!

To add, the facility real is impressive. Anyone who likes vehicles would enjoy spending some time looking around and seeing how the product is tested. I took my wife up for the open house last year and she thought it was pretty cool.
