before the event, things like this were said often " I think Saturday's organized trail runs will be staggered and leave every 15-20 minutes starting at 9am, ".
But there were no organized runs. The newbees were left to make up their own plan. Since I believe if you complain about something, you should fix it ... I volunteer to take this on for next years event.

This is a nit though, it was still a fantastic event.

I had a great time. Big thanks to PNWjeep for putting it together. I didn't spend the night, but kinda wished I would of. By the time the raffle was done it was too dark to find a spot to pit my tent. Diandra i don't know who you were but I'm sure I saw you at some point. Kinda hard not to notice any women amongst the sausage fest

Good food, drink and friends.

Had a great time, I think next time I'll take more time off work and get there earlier. Camping and even parking spots were hard to come by.

I have to agree with the above posts. It was real and it was fun, but it was not real fun! I know that we walked around twice and looking for the meet and greet but only got wierd looks. To new people it was more of a stand and look than a meet and greet.

I enjoyed wheeling with Ian, Ryan, Scott and Brad and we had a good time. wish we could have stayed for dinner.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to you, but did notice your rig as you drove by. You don't see many 8's around

Please understand that most of the people there, have never met before. So yes, it can be kind of awkward at first, but the point of the M&G is to walk up to somebody and start talking. It is what you make it.

I met a few new faces.

I saw you Jason when you were leaving. Someone said Cool CJ8 I looked and said "hey that's Jason" but you were already bailing. :dunno:

I thought it actually went fairly well. Yeah it would have been nice to have met more people, but frankly I have a hard enough time learning one persons name let alone dozens, and I think the half dozen guys I wheeled with Saturday and got to know ended up being plenty of new faces for me. I think it all really comes down to you going up to someone and talking.

Stump, I'm 90% sure I talked to you as I walked by a few times trying to encourage you to go wheel or meet up with everyone for food, etc. I know I said that to a few people in "the pit", but what can ya do...and as far as wheeling goes, I consider myself pretty jumpy to wheel when at events like this. I'm always the guy saying "where we wheeling" "what trails?" etc. trying to get things moving, if your new, that's what you need to do to.

~Scott

P.S. No need to comment on my thoughts above, but that's just my brief opinion.

Just wanted to give a big thanks to PNWJEEP for putting on the great event mainly food. I did not really meet any new people. Ran into some old faces. When you get in a group that big you will have the issues mentioned above I tend to just look for people with rigs like mine. Ran almost every trail out there except 311 a & b. Thanks to the guy that winched the rock from under my jeep at the top of 519 I owe you a fifth.

Were you the guy that went way up on top of the rocks and got your oil pan hung up on that huge rock? If so I was the black XJ that pulled that rock for you. Didn't realize who you were at the time.

I had a blast as usual. I met as many people as I could. :dunno: Meeting new people is a two way street. The only way to meet people is to meet them. We had a ton of rigs there and we do our best to be sure and meet everyone we can...

I know I was lining up runs, kissing hands and shaking babies all weekend. Sorry if I missed you.

Keep coming back, M&G can be as good as you want it to be if you make an effort to be social and wheel yer arse off.

Next year? We are are hosting up there in a couple weekends. You should come up with B.L.A.S.T. Yep that was me. That rock wasn't in the ground that well. But the only real damage it did was the 10 dollar rubber transfer case mount.

What happened to Dean, redheaded pony tail, blue YJ Dean? He's an old Army buddy, I was hoping to see him this weekend but I didn't.
