Ok let's hear what you did at the M&G?

I'll start...

Image
That photo pretty much sums up mine. Although on the way home I did find my drag link bent enough to make me pucker a bit on the way home.

I know Sam destroyed a tire...John I guess "flopped"...but I'm sure there was a lot more going on that many didn't see/hear about.

Nah, it was no ones fault but my own. I was just concentrating on how to turn around to pull out the yota, and completely forgot about the hole. Granted, I do believe my rig was backed up from where I had it originally parked from someone else, but it remains my own fault for flopping.

Thanks again for the air!

Imagine an xj slamming into a power poll perfectly sideways on the rear door. Looks just like that.

I fixed a shifter linkage on a t-176 in an 81 CJ-5. :dunno:

And I think Horus may have scratched up the Right side of his Cherokee during the HS 311 run.

I broke a D60 stub shaft being a jackass and had 2 Ballistic Joints fall apart because the set screws were either left during the build or fell out at some point.

Opie's XJish Jeep did a backflip. I'll get some video of that up soon...

Man, I saw you driving through camp and wondered WFT happened. Did you just slide into that hole pretty much? Hopefully you can get your rig "straightened" back out.

Carnage for me was very minimal, only tweaked the hatch backing into the stump at the bottom of the rock race half way through 311. I made it up though so the damage was not for naught.

northwest XJ put a dent & scratch on his passenger quarter panel above his Thor's and bumped his drivers rear door handle into a tree resulting in another minor dent. Both happened on 197. He also had his rear hatch window shattered by a renegade branch (as best as we can figure).

Bummer on the door. I saw you driving around camp with that. :eek2:

Bent a door hinge, and somehow the front axle breather pooped off, and turned the front diff to milk. Changed it in the Chevron parking lot. Good thing I caught it looking the Jeep over.

This caved in my rear quarter pannel a little more, and messed up my rear upper shock mount.

the only real carnage was my pride, in being beaten by a really old, slow, lazy dog on that hill climb...

I broke Horus's Jeep :brows:

Bottomed the front suspension, and the tie rod made contact with the oil pan. The #1 connecting rod made a lot racket smacking the pan. Fortunately Jason was willing to help out with the club's Ready Welder, and the pan was pulled back out without too much trouble.

Pretty minor here, just bent the crap outa my sway bar link. Need to look into this for the JK rubi, it seems that at full flex it is possible for the sway bar to get in front of the steering components such that when it unflexes the sway bar gets pinched in front, bending the link over said components. Got back to camp, straightened the link back out and put it all back together without much issue...

Image

thanks Kurt for the "manly" zip ties!

Horus broke his jeep better this afternoon. ;)

I broke something in my steering box. Heard a loud pop and it's leaking fluid pretty good now. Made it home fine. I also heard some popping in the rear suspension. Went to see if the trackbar was loose and found this:

Whoops.

The plug welds let go on my 14 bolt and the tube on the anti-wrap bar side spun a little. Welded it back up in camp with the clubs ready welder, thanks again John.

Other then that not much for me.
