Replace the Rough Country lift with a 3" Rusty's Offroad lift and its accurate for my first XJ.

Did I miss where it mentioned uniframe flex around the steering box mount? The piece could have capitalized on the need to add some kind of frame brace plate to the steering box mounting area for even mild use over stock. Of course you could get that sweet winch bumper that incorporates a frame stiffening system into it's mount. You need a winch anyway. Bam, $1500 bucks later give or take and your steering box mounting area is solid!

Now the XJ owner is free to experience what us ZJ wheelers know all too well, breaking the ears off the steering box.

Constantly. At least if you're driving it fun like.

Five of my seven steering box failures on the trail were a mounting ear or two breaking off the box. The two that weren't are both fond memories of good times.
