I bought a bike. It's too tall, too fast and I'm too fat, but getting used to it. It's been like 15 years and 100 pounds since I've done any riding to speak of, so I'm easing into this trying not to hurt myself permanently. I've had the bike for around a month, it's a blast so far and I’ve only gone down about 5 times, :roflmao: . The technology has come a long way because I remember when dual sports were street bikes with knobby tires. My KTM 500 EXC-F is something like 245 lbs and 62 HP.

We also picked up rides for my wife and kids and went to LT Murray last weekend with some friends. My family logged around 45 miles on the dirt over the weekend and my ass still hurts. This is really great for my kids to develop independent skills of their own, rather than ride in the back of the Cherokee. It took some coaching but my 7 year old made it up some fairly steep terrain on her own, which is a very big achievement for her.

Thanks guys. After putting some hours on the bike in the stock configuration, I bought some stuff to make it a bit more comfortable on the trail.

Rekluse Radius Clutch
Enduro Engineering lowered seat
Enduro engineering skidplate
Taller bars
Moto Lab 2" lowering kit
Increased spring rates front and rear for my fat ass.

The shocks are currently out of the bike and torn down to install the lowing kit but Ill post some pics when I'm done.
