It was doing good last Sunday through Rocks ,sand, grass, then a puddle ,Opps 10 min later No steering ,we got that going then No forward or reverse , I spent alot of time this week trying to find the problem . I bought an after market Transmitter and receiver , installed that and looks like it`s a GO again , I`ll find out this weekend.
My Summit did great till I broke a front axle , Just like the real thing , at least these are easier to get home after they break.

That's why I will be keeping my Wraith in the rocks only....

From what I've read on the RC forums if you plan on playing in dirty water you need to upgrade everything... Normally the motor fry's first....

I don't use my laptop in the bath, I don't run my electric RC cars in the water

If you just can't resist, you need to read up on waterproofing and the maintenance needed.
I don't waterproof anything, and won't drive any deeper than the wheel nuts, and keep the speed low to limit splashing and keep electronics dry. After-run by pulling the wheels and spraying down the axles with WD40 to displace any moisture that may find it's way into the bearings.

I replaced the original transmitter & receiver with a Spectrum DX2E , it was a tight fit in that little compartment , everything worked great all weekend . I did loose a screw that holds the driveline to the rear pinion on the Wraith ,everything on the Summit worked great I even took my Nylint Scorpion along ,one guy played with it .
Alot of the trails in the Liberty area were open , I didn`t find that out till I got home , My XJ got it`s work out too and nothing broken except 1 fender flair. It was a good weekend all around.

Why use wd 40 ,that is oil based and will collect dust and grit in small places ,I use Tri flow or silicone ,they dry and dont collect dirt .
