Ripped out my parents furnace and all duct work this summer.

He is looking to pay someone to install all new duct work and possibly his new furnace/A/C setup also.

Anyone have a good contact?

Would prefer cash side job if possible, but willing to use a company if needed.

House located in North Bend, WA.

Last year I was faced with performing extensive repairs on the HVAC ducting for my furnace. Essentially redo everything in the crawlspace because of a terrible hack job initial install. It was going to be ridiculously expensive, plus I'd still have to add in the heat pump system so I could have A/C. The price was going to be astronomical and it was still gonna cost a fortune to operate.

After alot of research I went a totally different direction and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I had a Mitsubishi mini-split ductless heat pump system installed by Serenity Air in Sumner. It's one hell of a powerful system. 100% efficiency in heating down to 13F and 95% efficient down to -5F. It cut my electric bill in half last winter, plus gave powerful A/C which we are enjoying right now in this smoky heat. Has no problem keeping my entire house 72 even if it's 100F outside. And it's whisper quiet, has good 10 yr warranty. Heating same story, no problem with 70F irregardless of how cold it dipped. It has made it so comfortable in this house it's like a totally different house.

Wasn't cheap, but the good stuff never is. Total install price was around 12K IIRC. It's all I ever want for heat/ac in my house from now on.

HVAC - Mountain Valley Heating in Renton 425 226-0080

Ducting - Ductologist in Renton 425 324-4313

Both outstanding. Did a great job for me and a number of my friends.

Can't say enough about both of these companies.
