Destroyed a tire on the trail today. Looking for a cheap replacement 35 x 12.5 x 17 tire.

Does not need good tread life (maybe >25%), nor do I want to pay for good tread life! Will be used as a permanent spare but must be in a quality that is safe for extended highway use on road-trips. Might consider other brand/model tires.

(Or, if you have a good price on a set of 4 or 5 37" MTR's with good tread life remaining, might be interested in stepping up too!)

Pics of tire damage? I can likely get it repaired if not too crazy.

If tire shops are to be believed, it would be unsafe to repair this tire for street use... but they're in the business of selling tires of course

While they are technically correct, I have a guy who will fix that type of stuff for 'off road use' only. It would make an ideal spare and the repair is <$100. Catch is you have to get it to me, they don't do this for walk in customers.

Is it "for off-road use only" as a legal protection, or is it really something you wouldn't recommend for street use? I drive around the country and have to be able to drive home

For liability, covering their ass. The repairs are done in a very durable and professional fashion, I'd have no problem putting lots of street miles on it.

That being said, if you're NOT interested, I have a single brand new Nitto Trail Grappler I'd sell for $200.

Discount Tire ordered me up a brand new free tire without even looking at it (they literally didn't even go out the door, "sidewall cut, can I get a new tire?" "sure"..... wait we're done? is it free? yup). Customer for life.

Thanks for the helpful resources though!
